This site records bits and pieces of my volunteer experience in Philadelphia Politics in Northeast Philadelphia. My name is David Lynn. If you would like to contribute to our efforts, you may do so through ActBlue by going here or using the following QR code:

I have been involved in Philadelphia politics on and off for sometime now. I have been a reporter for The Philadelphia Public Record covering campaign finance and voter statistics, and a Democratic committee person, both in West Philadelphia and Northeast Philadelphia. Currently, I am Democratic committee person for ward 55, division 19 in the City of Philadelphia. My wife, Barb, is the other committee person.
I got recruited to run for committee person a long time ago (I was thinner and had more hair.) I immediately called my friends and said “I just got recruited to run for committee person!”
“Great!” my friends said. “What does that mean?”
Long pause. “I don’t know,” I admitted.
A few weeks later, someone gave me $50.00 for something called “Street Money.” Again, I called all my friends.
“I just got $50.00 from someone for Street Money!” I exclaimed.
“Why?” they asked. Again, I had to admit that I had no idea why I got $50.00.
I have learned a little bit since.
I currently work as a data engineer. This means I deal with lots of data and databases every day.
